Jonathan Dwight Jones, professionally known as Jon Jones is an American professional mixed martial artist who is considered to be one of the best UFC fighters of his era. Jon Jones was born on July 19, 1987, in Rochester, New York. His nickname is bones and his social media name is Jon Bones Jones. His family is deeply religious. His father, Arthur Jr is a pastor and mother Camille is a nurse. He has two brothers. The older brother is Arthur Jones III and younger brother Chandler Jones, both American footballers. His older sister died of brain cancer at the age of 17.

Jones’s father was a wrestler and so were his sons. Jones learned wrestling in his school days and also won the state championship at Union-Endicott High School in New York in 2005. When he was in Iowa Central Community college, he became a national wrestling Junior College Champion. When Jones was pursuing his degree in criminal justice from Morrisville State College, he dropped out of it to be a professional MMA fighter.

Jon Jones became the youngest champion in UFC history after winning UFC Light Heavyweight world championship. He holds a record of most consecutive light heavyweight title defenses in the history of the UFC with eight defenses. He is especially known for New York Mixed Martial Arts (2011), UFC on Fox (2011) and EA Sports UFC (2014). His fighting style is wrestling, Muay Thai and Striker and watching him is a treat.
