MakeMyTrip, an online travel company, has launched Special Bubble Holidays, starting with Goa. As a first of its kind special bubble holiday, all care is being taken to ensure safety from the start till the end of the holiday while providing complete flexibility to the in-destination itinerary of holiday-goers.
For travel plans around Christmas 2020, booking was open on the MakeMyTrip App, the website and franchise partner network started on 24th November 2020. This provided check-in on 23rd December 2020 and check-out on 27th December 2020.
The package began with COVID19 (RT-PCR) test of the travellers, followed by private on-ground transfers in sanitized cabs to the airport from where they escorted to designated check-in counters for MakeMyTrip’s Special Bubble Holiday at the airport.
After all of this, the baggage was sanitized with all the safety measures followed on the flight, the baggage was transferred and checked-in at the hotel property – allowing a hands-free, convenient and contactless check-in at the hotel. MySafety assured luxury stay options at Cidade de Goa (IHCL SeleQtions) was included in the package for 4 Nights & 5 Days.
Qatar Airways Holidays
In November 2020, Qatar Airways Holidays announced the creation of its Travel Bubble Holidays package allowing Qatar residents and citizens to safely holiday with no quarantine or self isolation requirements on return for citizens and no Exceptional Entry Permit, quarantine or self isolation requirements on return for residents of Qatar.
According to a few updates from Qatar Airways, the travel period was extended until 20th February 2021 for bookings with minimum three night duration and last outbound date from Qatar on 17th February 2021.
To celeberate the success and mark the end of the Travel Bubble Holidays between Qatar and Maldives, Qatar Airways Holidays also offered customers free upgrades including use of additional resort facilities, water sports activities such as canoeing, laser sailing, snorkelling and wind surfing.
The Qatar Airways Holidays also offered customers special food and beverage offerings for all bookings made before 15th February 2021, all at no extra cost.
